Khloe Kardashian confirms that the Kardashian stuff on The People vs. O.J. Simpson is a bunch of crap.

FX’s miniseries The People vs. O.J. Simpson has many virtues. It’s superbly cast, well-acted, and fun as hell—for the most part it represents a novel blend of “prestige TV” and “guilty pleasure.” Courtney Vance, Sarah Paulson, and John Travolta are all terrific, and Selma Blair and Connie Britton steal every scene they get their hands on.

But if there’s a specter haunting The People vs. O.J. Simpson, it’s the Kardashian family. Every episode of the show is interrupted at least once to remind you that, yes, Robert Kardashian is the patriarch of (OMG!) The Kardashians. These interruptions—and they can only be described as interruptions—always take the form of smug winks, moments of dramatic irony so obvious that they would make Guy de Maupassant blush. I’m talking about the Kardashian children chanting their name as their father appears on television, or Robert Kardashian solemnly telling his children that fame is fleeting, but integrity and loyalty are forever (because his children will grow up to only care about fame, get it!).

Khloe Kardashian appeared on The Late Late Show on Wednesday night and told James Corden the shocking truth: the Kardashian stuff in The People vs. O.J. Simpson is mostly made up.
