The governor of New Jersey shocked the political world on Friday by endorsing the guy who stole his whole shtick, i.e. tough guy who calls it as he sees it. Christie seemed pretty miserable on that stage in Forth Worth, Texas, looking every bit like he had been taken hostage, which, yes, is a metaphor for what Trump has done to the Republican Party.
The word on the street is that Christie must be getting something in return for lending a veneer of establishment respectability to Trump’s campaign. Attorney general in a Trump administration? Vice president?
