Can't say I have much to add, but New York magazine has a great feature story on how shoes (all shoes—even the comfiest pair of sneakers you can imagine) are totally unnatural and wreaking havoc on our feet. Me, I think I'll pass on strolling around barefoot, especially on D.C.'s glass-littered sidewalks, though the article does make it sound tempting...
