A Trump supporter tried to lecture Van Jones on the history of the KKK and Jones was having none of it.

During CNN’s Super Tuesday coverage, Jones started talking about Donald Trump and the “very, very frightening” forces he’s unleashed in American politics, when Jeff Lord, a Trump supporter and white man—which, admittedly, can sometimes seem a bit redundant—felt the need to intervene with some inane argument about the Ku Klux Klan being a product of “leftist” politics. “We are going to understand history,” Lord said.

Now, a historian could pick that assertion apart on any number of levels. But the far more important point is the one that Jones eventually made, as soon as Lord stopped flogging himself with bad analogies. “What difference does it make if you call them ... call them chipmunks, they killed people.”
